​The social media comments about NT WorkSafe stopping good Samaritans helping chainsaw trees are incorrect. Our WorkSafe Inspectors are not stopping people helping their community and a licence is not required to operate a chainsaw.

NT WorkSafe hopes that any Good Samaritan helping in this way is familiar with the safe use of a chainsaw. We urge all Territorians to work in a safe manner during the clean-up of Cyclone Marcus.
