Overview
Psychosocial hazards such as bullying, sexual harassment, workplace violence, stress and fatigue can have a serious impact on people's health and wellbeing. Like physical hazards, they can affect workers, workplaces and the wider community. Recent changes to work health and safety laws across Australia have placed a greater focus on managing these risks.
Join us during NT Safe Work Month for an informative and practical seminar with Michael Donehue, an Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Education Specialist with more than 10 years of experience.
Michael will help you recognise the signs that someone may be struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. He'll share practical strategies to build resilience, improve wellbeing, and cope after difficult or traumatic workplace incidents. You'll also learn about the support services available and how to access help when it's needed.
Drawing on his own lived experience of overcoming depression and alcohol addiction, Michael brings a genuine and relatable perspective to the conversation. His honest approach and practical advice will leave you with a better understanding of mental health and the confidence to support yourself and others in the workplace.
