Plant registration

Plant specified in Schedule 5 of the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Regulations 2011 is required to be registered prior to use. Certain plant (such as mobile cranes with a rated capacity of greater than 10 tonne) require both item and design registration whereas other plant (such as vehicle hoists) only require design registration. Plant items and designs registered under a corresponding WHS law are recognised in the Northern Territory and do not require re-registration.
