Resources available to improve workplace road safety

Vehicle collisions are a leading cause of worker fatalities nationally for a number of years. In the Northern Territory, the percentage is much higher with 55% of the worker fatalities in the 5 years from 2014 to 2018 caused by vehicle collisions.

The Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) has free resources available to help organisations improve their workplace road safety.

The recently published Safe driving guidelines for workplaces (pdf 1.5 mb) provides a range of information and strategies to help organisations identify and manage road safety risks, and promote a positive road safety culture in the workplace.
