New date for 2021 Territory Day celebrations

The Chief Minister has announced that the new date for the 2021 Territory Day celebrations is Sunday 29 August.

The proposed approved periods for Territory Day fireworks are:

• Sale of fireworks – 9am to 9pm Sunday 29 August.
• Use of fireworks – 6pm to 11pm Sunday 29 August.
• Possession of fireworks – 9am Sunday 29 August to 12noon Monday 30 August.

NT WorkSafe will reissue licenses to fireworks wholesalers and retailers in the coming weeks. Any wholesaler or retailer who has an amendment to their licence details such as a change of responsible person or retail location should email NT WorkSafe at ntworksafe@nt.gov.au.
