Registrations now open for mock trial

Registrations are open for the mock trial being held as part of the Northern Territory’s National Safe Work Month events.

The mock trial is for a fictitious incident where a young worker was subjected to relentless bullying, harassment and inappropriate behaviour by her manager for over a year, which ended tragically.

The mock trial is an opportunity, not only to see how alleged offences are prosecuted under the Work Health and Safety (National Uniform Legislation) Act 2011, but also to gain insight on the legal obligations around managing psychosocial hazards in the workplace which came into effect on 1 July 2023 in the Northern Territory.

The mock trial will start at 1.00pm on Tuesday 31 October 2023 in the Darwin Supreme Court Building. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
