Great engagement at the VET Careers Expo

NT WorkSafe staff participated at the VET Careers Expo held at Marrara Indoor Stadium last week and had great engagement from attending students who gained knowledge into their rights and responsibilities in the workplace under Work Health and Safety laws.

Students participated in activities that demonstrated the impact of fatigue on their ability to perform work safely and effectively. These activities reinforced the importance of being fit for work, as many students admitted to staying up playing games or on social media when they should be sleeping.

Students who participated in an activity went into a draw to win one of two great prizes on offer.

  • The winner of two tickets to BASSINTHEGRASS is Noah from Taminmin College.
  • The winner of a Million Dollar Fish Merch Package is Ellexis from the Top End School of Flexible Learning.

A big thank you to the Northern Territory Major Events Company for providing prize support for this event.
