Online white card courses not recognised in the NT

NT WorkSafe reminds people planning to work in the construction industry that face-to-face training is required to obtain a Northern Territory general construction induction training card (white card).

Avoid the websites offering cheap online courses as online training is not recognised or accepted in the Northern Territory.

White card training includes practical components that require in-person participation, which is why it must be completed face-to-face.

To receive a white card, you must complete training from one of the Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) that have been approved by NT WorkSafe. A list of approved training providers is available on the NT WorkSafe website.

When you complete the training, you will be issued with a statement of attainment by the RTO. A copy of the statement of attainment must be submitted with a completed application form to the Territory Business Centre, who will issue the NT white card.

Applications must be submitted within 60 days of completing the training.
