The new electrical safety laws have been in force for over three months in the Northern Territory and the Electrical Safety Regulator is interested in hearing from electrical contractors and workers on their experiences with the new legislation.
Some unintended consequences from the legislation change has been identified by NT WorkSafe, as well as being highlighted by industry.
A forum will be held in Darwin which will include:
- An update on the electrical safety laws, including a list of unintended consequences that have been flagged for change.
- An opportunity to discuss with the Regulator any difficulties they have had complying with the new laws.
Submit questions in advance
If you have any questions, or wish to highlight difficulties you’ve had complying with the new laws for discussion at forum, please email them to NTWorkSafeSubmissions.DoB@nt.gov.au
