Statement - Workplace incident at Tennant Creek Fire Station
- NT WorkSafe has been notified that 34 year old male worker has been electrocuted performing roofing work at the Tennant Creek Fire Station.
- The incident was reported to have occurred at approximately 8.00am this morning.
- WorkSafe Inspectors, including an Electrical Safety Inspector, have left Alice Springs and are currently travelling to Tennant Creek to commence an investigation.
- The circumstances leading up to the incident are currently unknown and no further information can be provided.
- NT WorkSafe has been advised that despite the efforts of first responders and the emergency department at the Tennant Creek Hospital, the worker could not be revived.
