How to become a HSR training provider

A training organisation, company or sole trader may apply for approval to deliver the initial five-day course and one-day refresher course using the NT WorkSafe approved course materials. All trainers who wish to deliver HSR training on behalf of an approved provider must also be approved by NT WorkSafe.

All trainers must have:

  • ​a minimum Certificate IV​ in Training and Assessment or equivalent; and
  • ​a minimum of two years relevant experience in an occupational​ or work health and safety role; or
  • relevant tertiary or vocational qualifications in a field related to occupational or work health and safety.

The applicant must possess or have access to sufficient resources and infrastructure to undertake all administrative activities necessary to comply with all conditions of approval which can be found in the guide.
