Darwin office relocating
The NT WorkSafe Darwin office is relocating to Building 3, Darwin Corporate Park on Tuesday 2 May. The new office is located at 631 Stuart Highway, in Berrimah and is centrally located for the greater Darwin area.
Enforceable Undertakings - Tomazos Group and JGA Concreting
NT WorkSafe has accepted enforceable undertakings from two companies over an April 2015 incident where a worker sustained serious injuries after falling from a wall on a Darwin construction site.
NT WorkSafe program ensuring quality rooftop solar installations
Territory homeowners are embracing renewable energy, with a boom in the installation of rooftop solar (Solar PV) systems. Over the past five years, the total number of Solar PV systems in the Northern Territory has increased by 248%, with the Northern Territory the only jurisdiction where the number of Solar PV installations continues to increase annually.
New system for labelling of hazardous chemicals
In 2017, there will be changes to the way hazardous chemicals used in workplaces are labelled. The Globally Harmonised System (GHS) of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals, which was adopted in Australia in 2012, will come into full effect in the Northern Territory and other Australian states from 1 January 2017.
Enforceable Undertaking - Northline
NT WorkSafe has accepted an enforceable undertaking by the Trustee for the Northline Unit Trust (Northline), over an incident in April 2014, when a customer was severely injured by falling freight while a truck was being unloaded at the Gunbalanya service station.

A safety recall has been issued for Smeg built-in barbeque models BIBQ1205AF and BIBQ1205AH purchased after 26 July 2013.

NT WorkSafe has accepted an enforceable undertaking by Kalidonis Pty Ltd over a 2014 incident which allegedly exposed its employees to asbestos.

NT WorkSafe has accepted an enforceable undertaking by Alcan Gove Pty Ltd, following a fatality of a worker at its site in 2014.
