2022 Territory Day fireworks campaign

NT WorkSafe has completed its 2022 fireworks campaign aimed at ensuring industry compliance and community safety during Territory Day celebrations.

Commercial establishments urged to check septic tank lids are safe and secure

NT WorkSafe is urging all workplaces across the Territory to urgently check that the septic tank lids on their property are safe and secured. In the last eight months, two children have fallen into septic tanks at separate commercial establishments in the Northern Territory.

NT WorkSafe charges local council over near drowning incident of worker

NT WorkSafe has charged the City of Palmerston with nine breaches of the Northern Territory’s Work Health and Safety Laws after a near drowning incident of one it its workers.

Unauthorised workers modifying scaffolding can cause safety risks

NT WorkSafe is issuing a warning to workers in the construction industry, not to modify scaffolding if they are not authorised to do so.

Automatic Mutual Recognition of some WorkSafe licences commences

Some NT WorkSafe regulated licences are now covered by the Automatic Mutual Recognition (AMR) scheme in the Northern Territory.
